Privacy policy and legal notice

The Ecomuseu-Farinera pledges to respect confidentiality and to protect personal data as stipulated in the regulations in force in the European Union, Spain, Catalonia and the town.

1. Data processing
The Ecomuseu-Farinera, the data controller, only collects the personal data needed to process the services requested by the user. The data obtained will not be used for purposes other than the purpose for collecting them, and we guarantee the confidentiality of the processing of those data.

2. Cessions
The data collected by the Ecomuseu-Farinera will not be provided to or shared with outside third parties unless explicitly authorised to do so, or if needed in order to fulfil the service requested, or when the data are requested by public authorities with the competences to do so.

3. Rights and obligations of affected parties
Everyone has the fundamental right to control what is done with their data, who owns the data, where it comes from, for what purpose it is obtained and to whom it is provided.
Therefore, at any time, citizens may exercise the recognised rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction of processing, as well as revoke the consent provided for the cession of their personal data.

The standard forms, which are accessible and can be downloaded from the Procedures Catalogue of the Castelló d’Empúries Town Hall electronic office, must be filed via any the following means: in person, by post or electronically.

5. Applicable laws and control authorities
All the information provided to the Ecomuseu-Farinera is subjected to the laws in force on the protection and confidentiality of personal data processing, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union and its directives; Organic Law 15/1999, dated 13 December 1999, on the Protection of Personal Data; and the Town Hall’s Security Document. There is a broad selection of regulations and reference guides available on the websites of the Catalan DAta Protection Authority and the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

6. Copyright and liability
The design of the museum’s website and its source codes, as well as the logos, brands, images and other distinguishing signs that appear on it, belong to the Ecomuseu-Farinera and are protected by the corresponding intellectual and industrial property rights. The museum accepts no responsibility for third parties’ use of the information published on its website, nor for any damages or economic losses derived therefrom. Nor does it accept any responsibility for the legality of other outside third-party websites which may be accessed from or linked to the website.

The Ecomuseu-Farinera reserves the right to make changes to its website without prior notice in order to keep its information up-to-date by adding, changing, correcting or eliminating the contents published or its design. The total or partial reproduction of the contents published which are not considered open data on its electronic site is forbidden, as provided for in Royal Decree 1495/2011, dated 24 October 2011, on the implementation of Law 37/2007 on the Reuse of Public-Sector Information.

7. Transparency

Via the information published in the Municipal Transparency Portal, he Castelló d’Empúries Town Hall periodically checks the principle of active publicity established by Law 9/204, dated 29 December 2014, on transparency, access to public information and good governance using the appropriate mechanisms to ensure the accessibility, interoperability, quality and reuse of the information, as well as its identification and location.

8. Cookies
Cookies are small text files that the browser stores on the computer’s hard drive and are solely associated with an anonymous user. Generally speaking, third-party cookies may be accepted or rejected through the browser’s settings options. In order to provide the best service possible and make the website easier to use, the Ecomuseu-Farinera uses cookies for statistical analysis. Under no circumstances are cookies or similar used to store information that would enable the physical website user to be identified. The website of the Ecomuseu-Farinera contains links to third-party websites with different private policies. When accessing these websites, the user can decide whether or not to accept their privacy and cookies policies.
